  • Yes. We specialize in natural gemstones that are carefully selected for beauty, integrity, and longevity. Any treatments known to us (such as heat, which is standard and permanent for many stones) are fully disclosed in each product description.

  • Fine jewelry is durable, but proper care will preserve its beauty for generations. We recommend removing jewelry before exercising, swimming, showering, or using household cleaners. You should avoid contact with chemicals, perfumes, lotions, and hairspray. Use the “last on, first off” rule. Apply all perfumes, lotions, and sprays before you put your jewelry on, then take your jewelry off first at the end of your day. Storing pieces separately in a soft pouch or lined jewelry box will prevent scratching.

  • Caring for Your Natural Stone Jewelry

    Your necklace is made from natural beads — a little care keeps them looking their best for years to come.

    • Put it on last, take it off first — avoid contact with perfume, lotion, and hairspray

    • Remove before swimming, showering, or sweating heavily

    • Store flat to prevent the silk from stretching

    • Store away from direct sunlight, to prevent fading

    • For cleaning, use a damp soft cloth to gently rub beads

    • Store separately from other jewelry to avoid scratching

    With a little care, these stones will stay beautiful for a long time.

  • Beaded necklaces: Use a damp soft cloth to gently rub the beads, and follow the beaded-necklace care instructions above.

    Other jewelry: Light cleaning at home every few weeks is ideal for regularly worn pieces. Professional cleaning and inspection once or twice a year is recommended, especially for rings or bracelets worn daily.

    For pieces suitable for cleaning with water:

    • Use warm water, a mild soap, and a very soft brush

    • Gently clean behind stones where oils collect

    • Rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a lint-free cloth

    Avoid ultrasonic or steam cleaners unless specifically approved for your gemstone. If you are unsure which cleaning method suits your piece, please contact meg@mfsstones.com.

  • Many pieces are designed for frequent wear, but some gemstones are more delicate than others. Rings with softer stones or intricate settings benefit from occasional rest. If a piece is intended for everyday wear, we will clearly indicate that.

    When in doubt, treat your jewelry as you would a fine cashmere—beautiful, wearable, and deserving of care.

  • If a stone becomes loose or is lost, please contact me with a photo of your piece. I’ll review the available repair or replacement options and provide a quote.

  • Start with a ring that fits the finger you’re shopping for, then use the printable ring sizer (PDF) to find your size. Print at 100% and use the included scale check before measuring.

  • Yes. We can assist with resizing, repairs, and refurbishment for jewelry purchased from us. Please contact us before shipping any item so we can guide you through the process safely.

  • Yes, we do.

    We selectively purchase fine jewelry and loose gemstones that align with our aesthetic and quality standards. If you have a piece you are considering selling, please email us with clear photos, any known details (metal, gemstone type, carat weight, certifications), and your location.

    All inquiries are handled respectfully and confidentially. There is no obligation to sell.

  • You can reach us via email meg@mfsstones.com or direct message through Instagram. We aim to respond within 1–2 business days and are always happy to help with questions, education, or sourcing requests.

  • Sales tax is added to taxable orders shipped to Minnesota and calculated at checkout based on your delivery address. Sales tax may also apply in other locations as required by law.

  • Shipping is included with every U.S. purchase. Please allow up to 7 days for order preparation. After shipment, fine jewelry travels via UPS overnight delivery; all other jewelry ships by ground, with estimated delivery in 3–5 business days.
